Premiere Passes and Tickets On Sale Now for the Fifth Annual Ellensburg

Film Festival

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The first weekend of each October plays host to the Ellensburg Film Festival (EFF). Now in itŐs fifth year, the EFF is proud of the progressive expansions that have taken place this year.  One such addition will be the line up of live musical performances at this yearŐs festival along with the traditional high standards of excellent cinematic exposure the festival is committed to providing. Be sure to purchase the EFF Premiere Pass in advance for the Fifth Annual Ellensburg Film Festival, held October 2-4, 2009. The EFF Premiere Pass provides admission and priority seating to all three days of screenings, events and ceremonies, includes a film festival T-shirt, and the pride of being a film festival supporter. Passes are fifty dollars each and can be purchased at:  Bar Noir, Gallery One, JerrolŐs Book & Supply Co. or by visiting http://www.ellensburgfilmfestival.com for online ticket purchase options and other EFF event and festival information.

The Ellensburg Film Festival has been honored to screen such award-winning titles as Man on Wire,

This Is England, and California Dreamin' along with hundreds of additional shorts, documentaries and experimental work.  Once again this year the EFF strives to present the community with outstanding opportunities along with cinematic perspectives, narratives and experiences that are marginalized by mainstream cinema. This event is reclamation of the power and potential of cinema. Our goal is to further critical dialogue, generate original interpretations, and provide international and multi-cultural perspectives to the Ellensburg community.

Cynthia Mitchell, Associate Professor of Journalism, President of the Pacific Northwest Association of Journalism Educators (PNAJE), and Chair of the 2006-2007 First Amendment Festival stated, ŇFor years now, I've marveled at not only the quantity but the quality of the films, speakers and parties that come to our small burg every fall thanks to the EFF. It's a sacred weekend on my calendar!Ó

Various ticket packages are available to fit everyoneŐs budget. Aside from offering the Premiere Pass, the EFF offers a Six-Tix Deal that provides admission to six screenings or events for thirty dollars. Single film or event admission is six dollars. The EFF also provides students with a discounted admission rate of three dollars with student ID to a single film or event. All proceeds go toward supporting year round EFF events and the EFF Film Festival held October 2-4, 2009. Donations are appreciated to support quality entertainment and film education in the community.
