What Babies Want is a heart-opening film about infancy and early childhood development considered from the perspective of the infant. The film is alive with captivating stories and remarkable personal experiences of infants, children, and adults. It is warmly narrated by Noah Wyle who, with his wife Tracy, shares with us their passion for deeper understanding and awareness of what a baby truly is. What Babies Want looks into cutting-edge science, ancient cultures and traditional customs as we search for ways to keep our children’s sprits intact.

Filmmaker’s intention in making What Babies Want was “primarily to make a social statement. Although this documentary is filled with information about the consciousness of infants, it also shows how what happens to us as infants is reflected throughout our lives. As Joseph Chilton Pearce says, we have an opportunity to put an end to violence just in the way that we treat our mothers and infants during the pregnancy and first 3 years of that infant’s life.”
