PILLOW GIRL
Ronnie Cramer (US, 2005, 8 min)
Short, Art
Plays in THE inEFFable PICTURE; Sunday, Oct 8, 5:30pm, Student Union Theatre

A jaw-dropping exercise in formal beauty and digital virtuosity, Pillow Girl was originally a sound-art work created for the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver, by musician/artist Ronnie Cramer. An “inspired demento” who’s made some of the finest underground films of the century (Black Street Jane, Even Hitler Had a Girlfriend), Cramer scanned the covers and inside pages of a number of lurid, vintage paperbacks and magazines, then ran the collected image and text data through a variety of synthesizers.
