As his condition deteriorates, with no prospect of improvement, he finds himself wondering: “Why can't I decide when I want to go?” This short film follows the governor on the campaign trail to get Prop 1000 to legalize "death with dignity" passed in Washington State.

The film becomes documentation about the human condition, and what it means to really fall in love again.
